When someone hears something that wasn’t said, it could be revealing a deeper pain. Recognizing that might provide a pathway to greater healing together.

Believers in Jesus know exactly what to do when we’ve been hurt by our own (sinful) actions— thanks to the practice of repentance. But when we are hurt by someone else’s actions, the pathway forward is far less clear.

Depression has been excruciating. I’m so grateful to finally be on a path of deeper healing.

In all the debate around appropriate accountability, reform, and policy change, far less attention has gone to how to find healing together as a people.
